Course Description:
This conference provides a very practical focus to the implementation of early mobility as a patient-focused initiative as well as sharing solutions to help attendees overcome some of the barriers that present when implementing such a change. Attendees will receive information through a mixture of case study based presentations, practical problem solving demonstrations of early mobility technologies for a variety of clinical situations, and a toolkit of information on how to get their colleagues on board with this quality-based approach to enhancing patient mobility and improving patient outcomes.

Target Audience:
This conference is suitable for all disciplines involved with implementing and managing an early mobility program, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, restorative techs, nurse or therapy managers, risk managers, leaders of safe patient handling & mobility programs, and quality control personnel.

Conference Objectives:

Following attendance at this conference the participant will be able to:

1.  Identify the different elements of a successful early mobility program.
2.  Discuss the integration of technologies into an early mobility program.
3.  Discuss the synergy between different disciplines in an early mobility program.
4.  Integrate early mobility into a wider quality agenda.
