At the time of going to print, New Zealand has returned to COVID-19 level 1 (Table 1). The only restrictions within the country are that the borders are still closed to most non-residents and there remain voluntary requirements to register individual presence in businesses and gatherings. This can be done through the New Zealand COVID-19 app1 or by writing in record sheets kept on business premises.
