Expert Interview with Barbara Silverstein

Barbara Silverstein, PhD, MSN, MPH, CPE, Research Director, Safety & Health Assessment and Research for Prevention (SHARP) Program, Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, 1990-2014 (retired as research director 10/2013 but still working part time). She is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Ergonomics Committee and Chair of the Industrially Developing Countries (IDCs) Committee, which takes her to many places around the world. She is also Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington, School of Public Health Department of Environmental and Occupational Health. She worked on developing the SPH legislation for Washington State which began implementation in 2006. She has been a member of the NIOSH NORA Health Care Sector Council.
