Marc Campo, PhD, PT, is a Professor in the School of Health and Natural Sciences at Mercy College where he teaches in the physical therapy and physician assistant studies programs. Dr. Campo is an active researcher in safe patient handling and mobility. He has completed studies of injuries in therapists, injury impact in therapists, therapist use of patient handling technologies, patient outcomes in safe patient handling and injuries in informal caregivers. In 2012, along with Dr. Amy Darragh, he was honored with the Bernice Owen Award for research in safe patient handling.

Amy Darragh, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA, is Assistant Professor in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and Interim Program Director of the Division of Occupational Therapy at The Ohio State University. Amy has a long history of research in safe patient handling and mobility, particularly as it relates to rehabilitation. She was a member of the ANA working group that developed Safe Patient Handling and Mobility: Interprofessional Standards Across the Care Continuum and is a member of the Editorial Board for the American Journal of Safe Patient Handling & Movement. She is the principal investigator on multiple research projects related to injury prevention in healthcare workers, informal/family caregivers, and pediatric rehabilitation
